My friend and I went to the Alexandria waterfront to take pictures. As I finished the last exposure for this,we felt a few drops of rain. So we packed up, and headed to the car. As soon as we close the doors, it begins to pour. But our gear was fine, and I got the image, so mission success!

I had to thank my friend Austin for telling me about this group of light-based installations in the Baltimore inner harbor. There was a great deal of interesting things to see, and I hope they bring it back next year.

On the way home, I looked out the window of the train, and got out onto the platform to capture it before it set. I had to wait for the next train home, but it was totally worth it.

I've been driving past this view on rock creek parkway for over 6 months by now. Once DST set in, I saw it in new light. I like how this came out.

I'd just received my 12mm f/2 for the X-T1 and I couldn't wait to try it out for landscapes. But landscapes in DC aren't terribly common, so I perched on the roof deck of a parking garage near my apartment and tried some long exposures of downtown Silver Spring.

I'd been trying to get to Centralia, PA for years. The town has been teetering on the brink of "ghost town" status for decades, since the coal mines under the town caught fire (and are still burning to this day). Despite the rain, and hail, my friends and I made the trip, and this is one of my favorite shots from that weekend.
