I joined a local photography meetup to go to the Duncan Trucking truck graveyard in Columbia, VA. With somewhere around 100 dead trucking rigs, I could have roamed those fields for days if I didn't have to make a living :D

I could have probably spent all day (and all night) wandering around rows of the abandoned trucks I saw at P L Duncan Trucking. I may have to see if I can return on a new moon in the near future :)

I'd been trying to get to Centralia, PA for years. The town has been teetering on the brink of "ghost town" status for decades, since the coal mines under the town caught fire (and are still burning to this day). Despite the rain, and hail, my friends and I made the trip, and this is one of my favorite shots from that weekend.

I'd planned for months to spend a weekend camping at Spruce Knob in West Virginia, and my expectations were absolutely met. The views were amazing.

This was the sight that confirmed what I speculated throughout my morning on Spruce Knob: that wasn't fog I was in. It was a cloud.

I've started noodling with an astrophotography stacking program to get more detail out of my moon shots. But given that crater in the lower right, and the lines extending from it, I'm not convinced that the moon is a gray, frozen tangerine.

This is another HDR I made when my friend showed me some of the cool scenery is southern Maryland. Fortunately, there was still enough light for me to do this handheld.

My friend Max, and I got a nature tour of southern Maryland, guided by our friend Andrew. It was a pretty rad day, and I was glad to get a good sunset before the air quality drops to the normal "terrible" hazy for DC.
