This was the sight that confirmed what I speculated throughout my morning on Spruce Knob: that wasn't fog I was in. It was a cloud.
I swear, I need to spend more nights in DC with a tripod.
I've started noodling with an astrophotography stacking program to get more detail out of my moon shots. But given that crater in the lower right, and the lines extending from it, I'm not convinced that the moon is a gray, frozen tangerine.
